GERC has approved ₹4.87/kWh tariff for Torrent Power’s procurement of 250 MW FDRE backed by energy storage systems. Torrent Green Energy emerged as the lowest bidder through competitive bidding and e-reverse auction, securing 200 MW plus 50 MW under the Greenshoe option. The procurement will support Torrent Power’s distribution areas in Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Surat and Dahej, while helping meet Gujarat’s RPO and ESO targets.
