Georgia Power has received approval from the Georgia PSC for 1.14 GW of solar PPAs across seven counties — Appling (78MW), Decatur (130MW), Jefferson (194MW), Sumter (200MW), Warren (150MW), Emanuel (185MW) and Irwin (200MW). Approved via the CARES 2025 RFP under its 2022 IRP, the deals follow 1,068MW approved in September 2025 under CARES 2023.
