EIG has launched Fidra Energy, a European battery storage platform based in Edinburgh, targeting a 10 GW capacity by 2030. The flagship project, Thorpe Marsh, will be Europe’s largest battery site at 1.45 GW, capable of powering 800,000 homes. Additional projects include Bicker Fen and West Burton, together meeting over 5% of the UK's peak electricity demand.
