The Canada Infrastructure Bank (CIB) is investing C$108.3 million to support the 102.2MW Mesgi’g Ugju’s’n 2 (MU2) wind farm in Gespe’gewa’gi, Canada—the first Indigenous equity loan from CIB. A joint venture between Mi’gmaq communities and Innergex Renewable Energy, MU2 will power 20,000 homes, reduce emissions by 153,053 tonnes yearly, and create 150 jobs.
