PowerChina has signed an EPC contract with Suez Wind Energy, a joint venture of ACWA Power and HAU Energy, to build the 1.1 GW Suez wind project in Egypt. The $1.2 billion project, expected to generate 4.3 TWh/year and offset 2.2 MtCO2/year, will be implemented in two phases with a capacity of 550 MW each.
