The Department of Energy (DOE) increased its target for Pumped Storage Hydro (PSH) projects under the third Green Energy Auction Program to 4,250 MW. These projects, divided into three lots, will be delivered between 2028 and 2035 across Luzon and Visayas. The DOE aims to boost renewable energy capacity, requiring PSH projects to use variable speed technology for grid reliability.
