Credence Solar has begun construction of a 2GW solar cell manufacturing plant in Gujarat, aiming to strengthen domestic capabilities amid policy mandates requiring locally produced cells. The Rajkot-based facility will produce advanced G12 and G12R cells to support higher-wattage modules and is expected to be operational by Q4 2026.
