Chinese solar manufacturer JinkoSolar has set a new world record for n-type TOPCon solar cell efficiency at 27.79%, independently verified by Germany’s ISFH. Building on its June 2025 record of 27.02%, the achievement utilized ultrathin silicon oxide tunneling layers, doped polysilicon passivated contacts, advanced passivation materials, reduced optical losses, and upgraded metallization.
