Karnataka’s Energy Department and BESCOM plan to make long-distance EV travel easier by installing charging stations along the Bengaluru–Belagavi National Highway and at 40 toll points statewide. Officials say this is a major step toward an extensive EV corridor. BESCOM MD Shivashankar noted the goal is to eliminate range anxiety and support clean energy transition.
