Ampyr Australia has signed a 15-year, 120 MW battery storage capacity swap agreement with InCommodities for its Bulabul BESS in NSW’s Central West Orana REZ. The project includes Bulabul 1 (300 MW/600 MWh) and Bulabul 2 (100 MW/400 MWh), expected operational by 2027. The $300 million deal marks InCommodities’ first Australian BESS investment, aiming to enhance market competition, drive innovation, and support long-term renewable energy transition through strategic, large-scale trading partnerships with Ampyr Australia.
