Andhra Pradesh Plans 3,000 MWh BESS for Grid Stability

Andhra Pradesh plans to deploy 3,000 MWh of battery energy storage systems (BESS) to manage peak demand, improve grid stability, and integrate renewable energy. The initiative is expected to reduce peak power purchase costs from around ₹10 to ₹4.85 per unit, saving ₹400–₹500 crore annually.
