Norwegian renewables developer Scatec ASA signed a 25-year PPA with Egypt’s EETC for a 1.95 GW solar and 3.9 GWh battery energy storage system, Africa’s largest. The integrated system, delivering 6 TWh annually, includes two standalone BESS projects. Scatec will lead development, EPC, and O&M, inviting equity partners upon financial close expected later this year.
