The ADB has approved a $434 million loan for a 500-MW Solar Power project in Assam's Karbi Anglong, aiming to boost the state’s Solar Capacity towards a target of 3,000 MW by 2030. Challenges such as weather conditions and land availability hinder development, despite existing agreements for 4,000 MW and ongoing projects in Battery Storage and Solar Energy.
