Saudi-listed Acwa Power won the Noor Midelt 2 and Noor Midelt 3 Solar Projects in Morocco, each with 400MWp capacity and 602MWh battery energy storage (BESS) offering 230MWac peak power for two hours. Developed under a Build-Own-Operate scheme, these projects have a 30-year power purchase agreement with MASEN.
