World Bank Greenlights $1.5 Billion for India's Low-Carbon Energy Sector
The World Bank approved USD 1.5 billion on June 29 to enhance India's low-carbon energy sector. It aims to expand renewable energy capacity, develop green hydrogen projects, and bolster climate finance for sustainable energy investments. This follows the 2023 policy operation that waived transmission charges for renewables and green hydrogen, supporting India's shift to cleaner energy.
