South America's Onshore Wind Capacity: Doubling to 79GW

South America's onshore wind capacity is set to double to 79GW by 2033, with 40GW of new installations expected. Brazil leads with 54% growth, adding 21.5GW, followed by Chile (6.2GW) and Argentina (4.5GW). Despite grid challenges and competition from solar, commercial and industrial PPAs will drive development. Future growth hinges on grid upgrades and green hydrogen opportunities.
