Origin Energy's Investment in NSW Wind Power

Origin Energy is set to acquire a 1.5GW wind project with integrated battery storage in NSW from Virya Energy. The Yanco Delta development, approved by the NSW Government, involves an upfront payment of A$125m, with an additional A$175m contingent on milestones. The project, located near Jerilderie, comprises 208 wind turbines and an 800MW/800MWh battery.
