Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea multi-utility project has reached full commercial operation, featuring 358 MWac solar PV and 1,225.4 MWh battery storage in an isolated microgrid. Developed by ACWA Power and built by SEPCOIII since 2021, it independently powers Red Sea Global’s tourism destination, including resorts, airport, desalination (32,500 m³/day), wastewater, district cooling and 5G infrastructure.
