The New South Wales government has signed a land lease agreement with WestWind Energy for a 1-GW Wind farm project on Crown land. The Lake Victoria Wind Farm, costing AUD 3.8 billion, will involve up to 201 turbines near Wentworth. Expected to generate 3,400 GWh annually, it will power up to 700,000 homes.
