Volkswagen, through its subsidiary Elli (Volkswagen Group Charging GmbH), has commissioned its first stationary battery storage system, the 20 MW / 40 MWh "Elli PowerCenter" in Salzgitter, Germany. The project marks the company’s expansion from automotive manufacturing to integrated energy solutions, linking cell production, large-scale storage, and energy trading.
