Vietnamese automaker Kim Long Motor will partner with China’s BYD to build a $130 million EV battery plant in central Vietnam, focusing on commercial electric vehicles. Kim Long will fund construction, while BYD will provide technical support. The 4.4-hectare facility will initially produce 3 GWh annually and later expand to 6 GWh, adding passenger EV batteries.
