Vietnam will require EV charging stations to serve any compatible vehicle from July 1, 2027, under Circular 61/2026/TT-BCT and QCVN 32:2026/BCT issued by the Ministry of Industry and Trade. The rule applies to stations in public areas, parking facilities, rest stops, outdoor sites and standalone shelters, exempting basement, garage, indoor parks, wireless units, vehicle-supplied chargers and testing equipment.
