Korkia and Solar Ray have received environmental approval for their 150 MW/750 MWh Paicavi battery energy storage system in Santiago, Chile. The USD 90 million project, adjacent to a substation in La Pintana, will use 150 containers of 5 MWh each and a 33/110 kV step-up substation. Construction starts June 2027, with operations expected September 2028, lasting until November 2058.
