The Uttar Pradesh government ended its existing EV subsidy scheme on October 13, 2025, shifting focus to locally manufactured electric vehicles from October 14. Only EVs produced in UP-based facilities—including two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and four-wheelers—will now qualify for incentives. This aligns with the state’s Electric Vehicle Manufacturing and Mobility Policy, aiming to boost local production, strengthen supply chains, create employment, and attract investments.
