The European Commission is investing €852 million from the Innovation Fund in six innovative EV battery projects across Europe, supporting sustainable manufacturing and reducing reliance on imports. These projects, located in France, Germany, Sweden, and Poland, aim to produce 56 GWh of battery cells annually by 2030 and cut greenhouse gas emissions by 91 million tonnes over ten years.
