Uttar Pradesh has approved a ₹33,000 crore Meja Stage II thermal power expansion project in Prayagraj, adding 2,400 MW through three 800 MW units. The project, a joint venture between NTPC Limited and UP Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited, will be executed over five years to meet rising demand.
