Italy’s Ministry of Environment and Energy Security has introduced a support mechanism allocating up to €400 million annually for renewable hydrogen and biohydrogen production. The scheme can incentivize up to 200,000 tonnes of annual production capacity, supporting electrolysis-based green hydrogen and biohydrogen from biomass, biogas or biomethane.
