UPPCL has petitioned for approval to procure 500 MW of Solar Power through a 25-year agreement, utilizing a tariff-based competitive bidding process. The CERC set a tariff of Rs 2.60 per kWh. The procurement aims to meet Uttar Pradesh's rising power demand and comply with the Renewable Purchase Obligation while advising lower trading margins for future agreements.
