With cabinet approval, the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) has begun establishing the state’s first Solar Expressway, spanning 296 km. UPEIDA has invited global bids, offering 1,700 hectares along the Bundelkhand Expressway for Solar Photovoltaics. A token rent of Rs 1 per acre will be charged.
