South Korean battery maker SK On will end its US joint venture with Ford, with each company taking independent control of their battery facilities. Ford assumes full ownership of the Kentucky plants, while SK On takes over the Tennessee plant. The 2022 BlueOval SK venture, backed by an $11.4 billion investment, will dissolve by Q1 2026, pending approval.
