German Energy company Uniper and thyssenkrupp Uhde have partnered to develop large-scale ammonia cracking technology for global hydrogen trade. They will build a demonstration plant at Uniper’s Gelsenkirchen site to process 28 tonnes of ammonia daily, producing pure hydrogen. This project supports a future hydrogen import terminal in Wilhelmshaven, targeting the energy, steel, and chemical industries.
