London Thames Hydrogen will invest £200 million to build a hydrogen-from-waste facility at Tilbury Tax Site, Thames Freeport. The plant will produce 12 tonnes of low-carbon hydrogen daily from residual waste, reducing landfill methane and cutting 50,000 tonnes of CO2 annually. A smaller 5-tonne facility in Doncaster will support hydrogen vehicle refueling and ultra-fast EV superchargers.
