The UK government has backed an £86.5 million hydrogen electrolyser project in South Yorkshire, combining £40 million from Great British Energy and £46.5 million in grants to support ITM Power. The investment will scale manufacturing capacity to 1 GW, create over 400 jobs, and deploy next-generation Chronos technology.
