Trina Storage, Trina Solar’s energy storage unit, is set to deliver a 50MW/100MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) in the Scottish Highlands. In 2021, JLEN Environmental Assets Group Limited acquired 100% of an equity stake in Gigabox, investing £12.2 million in the developer’s West Gordie 50MW lithium-ion plant, which started commercial operations in 2023.
