A 10,000 t/y green hydrogen-based acrylic acid project has been approved in Baotou, Inner Mongolia, by Guangdong Lianyue Hydrogen Energy Co Ltd with an investment of 1.4 billion yuan. The project will use CO₂ hydrogenation and multi-stage synthesis to produce over 99.5% purity acrylic acid. It includes CO₂ capture and processing units, with construction scheduled from March 2026 to July 2027, supporting low-carbon chemical production.
