Britain has reduced its offshore wind budget to £900 million for the next auction, down from £1.1 billion, with £180 million allocated for floating wind technology. The government aims to expand offshore wind capacity to 43–50 GW by 2030 from 15 GW currently. However, analysts warn the reduced funding may hinder clean power goals, securing only 4.
