Uganda’s government has authorized a 100MWp solar plant with a 250MWh battery storage system in Nakaseke, developed by U.S.-based Energy America and EA Astrovolt. This marks Phase I of Uganda’s plan to deploy over 1GW of solar and battery infrastructure aligned with Vision 2040 and National Energy Policy 2023.
