French energy giant TotalEnergies, alongside Germany’s RWE, won the 1.5-GW Centre Manche 2 offshore wind tender in France, aiming to develop a EUR 4.5 billion project off Normandy. With RWE seeking to exit, TotalEnergies will proceed and find a new partner. The wind farm, 40 km offshore, will sell electricity at EUR 66 per MWh, targeting operations by 2033.
