After China's manufacturing activity unexpectedly decreased in March, according to a private poll, there was a decline in factory gauges around Asia as a result of the decline in demand. Demand is waning as growth slows in the region's emerging nations, particularly Indonesia, where the government has begun reducing fuel subsidies.
