Mitsubishi Power has started natural gas turbine operations in Thailand's Chonburi province. The new turbines are part of the Gulf SRC project, a joint venture between Gulf Energy Development and Thailand's state-owned oil and as company, PTT. The project involves the construction of a 2.5 GW combined cycle power plant that will generate electricity for Thailand's Eastern Economic Corridor.
