Telangana has invited bids for 5,800 MW renewable power to meet rising demand, which has hit 19,900 MW peak and is expected to grow due to industrialisation, data centres, EVs and irrigation. TGREDCO and TGGENCO will procure 3,000 MW solar with 6,000 MWh BESS, 800 MW wind, and 2,000 MW round-the-clock (RE-RTC) renewable power on 25-year PPAs.
