Tata Power's 4,000 MW Mundra UMPP will operate under Centre's Section 11 directions till December 31, 2026, after Ministry extended validity by three months from September 30. Extension follows April-June order for full-capacity operation to meet peak demand, later extended till September. Located in Kutch, Gujarat and operated by Coastal Gujarat Power Ltd, plant had suspended operations July 2, 2025 amid losses and resumed April 1, 2026 after nine-month shutdown.
