A consortium led by Edra Power has begun construction of the 300-MWac/460-MWdc Bestari floating solar project in Kuala Selangor, Malaysia. Expected to generate about 640,000 MWh annually, the plant will supply power to over 150,000 households under a 21-year PPA. Scheduled for commissioning by July 2027, it will be among Southeast Asia’s largest floating PV sites.
