Statera Energy has energised the 300MW/600MWh Thurrock Storage project in Essex, one of the UK’s largest battery storage sites. The facility can power 680,000 homes for two hours and provides rapid-response capacity for London and the South-East. Adjacent to its 450MW flexible generation plant, the site replaces Tilbury's former coal station with low-carbon infrastructure.
