Sonnedix Expands Italy BESS Capacity upto 800MW

Global renewable energy firm Sonnedix now has over 800MW capacity in Italy after acquiring five BESS projects, aiming for 1GW by year-end. With 500MW under construction and a 1.1GW development pipeline, Sonnedix plans to double Italian capacity to 2GW by 2028. The company recently began building its first 18MW BESS project in Sicily, co-located with a 70MW solar plant.
