SHS Group, including Dillinger and Saarstahl, signed a 10-year deal with France-based Verso Energy for 6,000 tons of green hydrogen annually, supporting its Power4Steel decarbonization project. The hydrogen, certified as RFNBO, will be produced in Carling and delivered via the mosaHYc pipeline. This partnership marks a key step toward climate-friendly steel, with SHS aiming to cut emissions by 55% by early 2030s and eventually use 120,000 tons/year, strengthening the regional cross-border hydrogen economy.
