Senegal’s Senelec has launched a tender for two large-scale solar power plants totaling 500 MW, including 100 MW / 400 MWh of battery storage. The projects in Linguère (200 MW) and Kolda (300 MW) follow an EPCF model to attract experienced international developers. Set for completion within 24 months, the initiative supports Senegal’s National Energy Pact, aiming for 40% renewable electricity by 2030 and enhancing grid stability while reducing fossil fuel dependence.
