India’s first Solar Power Storage plant will be set up in Madhya Pradesh’s Morena with construction starting next year and operations expected by 2027. The 600 MW plant, costing Rs 3,500 crore, will store daytime Solar Energy for nighttime use. It will reduce electricity costs for farmers in Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh during the Rabi season, enabling power at Rs 4-5 per unit.
