The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) will conduct a Reverse Auction on Thursday for a 2000 MW Solar Power Project with a 4000 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). Despite this, 6500 MW of unsold capacity from previous tenders remains stuck due to difficulties in securing Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) or Power Supply Agreements (PSAs), causing financial strain for developers.
