SECI has issued RfS for 4,000 MW/16,000 MWh standalone BESS in Rajasthan and Gujarat under Build-Own-Operate model via tariff-based bidding to enhance grid flexibility, address intermittency, reduce congestion and meet non-solar demand. Package I is 2,500 MW/10,000 MWh Rajasthan, Package II 1,500 MW/6,000 MWh Gujarat; minimum bid 50 MW/200 MWh, maximum 625 MW Rajasthan and 375 MW Gujarat per bidder.
